Some Indian operators buy the AMC MRT kit and inspect their own ropes. Others have us do it. Both work — the right answer depends on fleet size, duty cycle, and how often you'd actually use the kit.
Buy the kit when…
Your fleet is large enough that monthly or quarterly inspections add up to enough rope-time to justify the capital cost.
You have an in-house maintenance team capable of being trained on MRT equipment and trace interpretation.
You operate in remote locations where bringing in an external inspector is logistically expensive.
You want continuous historical condition tracking integrated with your own CMMS.
Buy the service when…
Your fleet is small to medium and inspections are annual or bi-annual.
You'd rather not invest capital in equipment you'd use a few days a year.
You want the inspector's competence guaranteed — we deploy our own trained technicians.
You want the report signed by a third party for insurance and statutory record purposes.
Hybrid
Many operators do both. They buy a ROPE 22 or ROPE 40 head for frequent in-house inspections of standard cranes, and they use our service for the offshore or port-crane inspections that need ROPE 65 — which is heavier and used less often.
